Site preparation is the key to creating a driveway that will stay level and not sink under the weight of vehicles driving over it. Here the team has stripped the ground back to undisturbed clay and run a compactor over it to make sure the foundation is completely solid and unmoveable.

A simpler project here for Rick and the Hofstetter Landscaping team. An old cracked asphalt driveway has been removed and a new interlocking stone driveway and path are to be installed.

The crushed stone base for the path is being installed here. A thick layer of compacted crushed stone ensures that damage form frost heaves is minimized and the pathway will remain level and true.
